Q: Who is eligible to join?

A: We aim to be as inclusive as possible, welcoming anyone with qualitative methodological expertise! In order to join in collaborative bids for funding or ongoing funded research, some funders may have restrictions about whether you are affiliated with a university or NHS Trust. There may also be additional requirements from funders about your contract length. It’s important to discuss these requirements with any potential collaborators and your employer. For researchers on fixed term contracts that do not extend beyond the length of the project grant, you should: check the funder requirements, discuss the options available for the extension of your contract if the grant covers your salary with your institution, or investigate options of working as a consultant on grants before agreeing to be involved as a collaborator.
